Infront’s subsidiary, Infront Asia, is the marketing partner of the Chinese Basketball League and has been appointed by the China Basketball Association (CBA) as the exclusive global marketing partner for the country’s national basketball teams until the end of 2008.
The agreement includes the marketing of all media rights. Basketball is already one of the most popular sports in China. Its men's and women's national teams are amongst the best in the world and the sport is watched on television by millions of viewers.
As a result of Infront’s existing and parallel joint-venture role with the Chinese Basketball League, it has a unique opportunity to focus on developing Chinese basketball as a whole, taking advantage of the synergy between the CBA league and Team China, putting Chinese basketball on the world map and exploiting its potential to the full.
This will take Chinese basketball to the next level of professionalism and performance, creating new superstars and increasing the popularity of the game among fans at home and abroad.
